Opportunities for organic certification and production financial assistance
- NRCS now offers financial and technical assistance to farmers choosing to implement new organic management practices, including forgone income during the transition period when warranted. Find out if your state is participating in the interim program here. Find out more here.
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP), administered by the Farm Service Agency (FSA), provides organic producers and handlers with financial assistance to reduce the cost of organic certification up to a maximum reimbursement of $750 per certification scope.
